Spring and Summer are coming...

As I am embarking on getting out of my depression from winter, I have created a playlist for my ears to remind me of spring and summer. Since it is 60 degrees out today and I'm going to watch baseball, it was a perfect time to create such a playlist.

So enjoy spring and these songs...

Nobody knows what the future holds

Yesterday I was diagnosed with a sever sinus infection I kindly ask you to keep me in your thoughts and prayers.  The doctor said I will make a full recovery lets just hope it's soon.  As I am waiting to recover I finally listened to the new Vampire Weekend song Diane Young and I am beyond obsessed!!!!!!!!!! First of all the lyrics are so good and it gives me hope that in the future I will recover from my sinus infection.  It also is the definition of a spring song and just makes me want nice weather.

Also rumor has is they are headlining Lollapalooza hollaa!!

You will find him next to me

UGHHHH of course I'm hungover! so I am trying not to die and write this post.  Yesterday i spent 12 hours at the same bar like only on St. Patricks day parade is that acceptable.  But anyways on my flight back to the city I only listened to ONE SONG...... Emeli Sande Next To Me.  It also helped my anxiety on my flight because I ACCIDENTALLY kicked the airline attendant and the whole flight he kept giving me these mean looks! Like sorry get over it.  I mean i apologized.  This song is so beautiful it makes me want to cry.

I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do my little Irish babies!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

We Come Running

Finally, after 30 hours of becoming a leader with my students and a 3 hour nap post conference, I am now alive to blog. Recently, when I arise in the morning and get ready for school, I listen to VH1. Their YOK (that's you oughta know for those of you who didn't know) artist this week is Youngblood Hawke.

A little background... I always heard this song on Mumford & Sons Pandora or The Naked and Famous Pandora and I always enjoyed it. I would proceed to write it down and then lose it somewhere. So when it came on VH1, I knew the search was over. The song is really awesome and I like their VH1 interview for YOK where they say they try not to stick with one genre. When they feel like they're starting to sound like someone else, they change up their music.

Youngblood Hawke - We Come Running

I just downloaded their EP so I'm checking that out now, but I know Emily will love this song because they used a children's choir for the background. Also, the video is cool because they actually swam with sharks.

Hope you all enjoy on this St. Patrick's Day weekend.

hold on, hold on. the stars are bound to change. hold on, hold on. wait for another day. hold on, hold on. the future's not that far away ~ Youngblood Hawke - Stars (Hold On)

Hello! Just enjoying the last couple hours I have left in Ohio. My beautiful spring break trip to snowy Ohio consisted really of shopping at my favorite mall in the entire planet Easton as well as going to a Blue Jackets Hockey game. Basically all radio stations here play country music so I really have not been to inspired by music here until I watched Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday. My meant to be husband Andy Cohen had the Mowglis on and I LOVED the song San Francisco!!!!!! Thanks Andy and SXSW for introducing them to me. Well I must try and fit as much as I can in my too small suit case. Ughhh the life of an American traveler.

PEACE OHIO EMILY

It's a cold war kids kinda day...

In light of Emily's weird, but informative blog post about Cold War Kids new single, I figured I'd add a throwback in here. Cold War Kids are so interesting and don't get much publicity in my mind. They've started a trend where they appear at Lolla every 2 years (2009, 2011) so we're hoping they show up in 2013 which there's a pretty good chance since they're putting out a new album.

My favorite song off Robbers & Cowards is definitely Saint John. I think mainly for the tempo changes throughout

Next up is definitely Hospital Beds and I'm going to post both the original Cold War Kids version and then the Florence Welch version

Happy Sunday music lovers,
Royal Subject Jeana to Princess Emily

Miracle Mile

I like am so inspired this morning its like so not even funny.  For some reason I have been like watching a lot of Vanderpump rules this morning and like I feel like I am speaking like Stassi.  But i totally am so in love with Cold War Kids new single like no joke.  I want to like stab the month of March with daggers and spit in it's face so it will end and then it can be April and then the Cold War Kids album will like be released (Stassi likes to speak violently).   So Princess Emily commands you my royal subjects to like listen to this (not to brag but I am a former Prom Queen but Stassi likes to call herself Princess Stassi).

If you like don't like this song then you deserve to have daggers in your eyes and to like trip and fall into a puddle of water.

You know you love me,
xoxoxo Princess Emily
