New Years' Resolutions

So... this has been somewhat of a long time coming, but my best friend Emily and I have always wanted to start a blog about music. I figured it's the last day of 2012... what better day to start. We've attended Lollapalooza for the past 3 years and have no intentions of ever stopping. It's the one thing we look forward to every year and we always talk about how we should be blogging about music. Music is literally the only thing in life that will never go away. It's amazing and can inspire me in a lot of ways. Recently, it has inspired me to get a new tattoo (...or two)

Last night as I was looking around in my iTunes, I realized that I needed a playlist of amazing songs to help me get some work done today. I spent about 30 minutes picking various songs to create the best playlist possible. It encompasses everything I look for in a playlist. I was aiming for songs that just made me feel good, but were mellow enough that I could actually get some work done.

Here's my playlist (in alphabetical artist order): Feel free to copy and create it as well.

Literally, there is not a bad song on that list. They are all amazing songs and probably about half of those bands I've seen live which makes it ten times more amazing. I wouldn't go around playing this playlist at a New Years' Eve party, but for the times when you just need to relax and listen to great music, this is the playlist for that.

Now that I've procrastinated my own work by writing this blog, I should get back to listening to this amazing playlist and get some work done. Happy New Year!

214 days until Lollapalooza 2013 <3

I keep dancing on my own,
Jeana

  1. Hey J,

Great post. Love your song choices, I'm going to download some and make a list too. Maybe I'll make a post for my top songs and we can compare and contrast.
