The first time I saw Alt J.........

On January 9th 2013 I stumbled across a song called Fitpleasure by a band called Alt-J.  Immediately after the first listen I fell in love the song.  This then lead me to download the entire album An Awesome Wave.  I would say that on that January day my life changed forever.  My obsession for Alt J is intense and borderline they may need to file a restraining order soon.  The main reason why I wanted to attend the Governors Ball was to see Alt J.  I mean their shows sell out in the 5 seconds so clearly I was limited on how I would see them.  The previous day Jeana and I stood in a tropical storm and I developed walking pneumonia but that was not going to stop me from seeing ∆.  The entire Saturday morning leading up to their show I had such anxiety because I was finally going to get my chance to see them live.  The last time my anxiety was this bad was when I went to see Charlie Sheen interesting.

 Jeana and I were very lucky and headed to the stage very early and were able to get a front row spot which is the only acceptable way for me to watch Alt J.  Like five minutes before they were set to come on this girl a little behind us "passed out" so security was asking me to move so they could get her.  I was like no way am I moving that dumb bitch can have her friend move her to the side.  Like sweetie clearly you need to learn how to drink responsibly you embarrassing mess.  But thats besides the point I still kept my front row spot.  

The second Joe, Gus, Gwil and Thom took the stage my heart honestly stopped for like 5 seconds.  I cried when they played fitzpleasure because I just love them so much and I could not believe I was finally seeing them live.    Dreams do come true . I tweet Alt J probably at least once a week and as I have previously posted they responded to my tweet. I kept telling Jeana that they kept recognizing me she doesn't agree with me but I still think so.  This is my all time number one favorite performance from a band ever.  They are amazing live and everyone should go see them (but stand in the back because front row is reserved for me only thanks).  I was not disappointed they pretty much played all of An Awesome Wave which is what I was hoping for.
